Chatbots for hotels

chatbot is a computer program which is able to manage a conversation via audio or textual methods. Such programs are often designed to simulate how a human would behave as a conversational partner. Chatbots are typically used in dialog systems for various practical purposes including customer service or information acquisition. Some chatbots use sophisticated natural language processing systems that let them fully understand the meaning of the questions offered to them.

The most known and most popular system for natural language processing are:

  1. Google API.ai now named Dialogflow
  2. Language Understanding Intelligent Service by Microsoft
  3. Wit.ai owned by Facebook
  4. IBM Watson

Roomcloud has implemented a chatbot for hotels  using the Google technology. This chatbot can automatically answer client questions using the hotel chat. Of course some training session are required to instruct the chatbot on the subjects he needs to cover.
