In Vernazza there's only one main street. When you arrive at Vernazza's train station, go down the stairs and follow the street downwards, (view photo) until you arrive to a big square by the harbour. There you turn right and pass under the arches (view photo) after 20 meters you will arrive at our front door, on your right side (#30), please ring our doorbell, even if the door is open or someone opens the door for you. all our rooms are on the top floor of the building, and that is also where our reception is located.

Portofino is 26 mi from Albergo Barbara, while La Spezia is 18 mi from the property.

Porter Service: There’s now a convenient porter service at the train station, ask for it in the office. The porters will bring your luggage to your room for a little fee.

How to get to Vernazza:

By train: The easiest and most comfortable way to reach Vernazza is to travel by train. The station is located in the centre of the town. For train schedules we recommend to use the Italian railway's website: www.trenitalia.com

By car: Driving on the freeway from the north you exit at "Levanto-Carrodano"; coming from south or from Parma you leave the freeway at La Spezia and follow the signs "Cinque Terre". The road to Vernazza is tiny and with sharp bends. Since Vernazza is a traffic-free zone you will have to park in a toll parking for tourists, about 1km from the town center. From there you can use a shuttle bus to come to the village which runs almost hourly. We recommend to park your car in the underground parking beside the train station in La Spezia and travel to Vernazza by train.
