Tourist tax:
 
The city of Braga begins on March 1 to charge the tourist tax, in the amount of 1.50 euros per person for each overnight stay in local accommodation establishments and tourist developments, up to a maximum of four nights in a row - from the fifth night , it is not charged. The tax applies to guests over the age of 16 and will be applied between the months of March and October.
 
Guests with a stay motivated by medical treatment are exempt from payment, and this exemption extends to a companion, provided that they present a document proving the appointment or provision of medical services, or an equivalent document. Also, guests with a disability equal to or greater than 60% do not pay the fee, provided they present proof of condition, and guests who are accommodated with a declaration of social emergency or Civil Protection.
