Today, flexibility is a priority for travellers. More than half of respondents to a recent Expedia Group survey said they would not book non-refundable accommodation, even at a discounted rate.*

A flexible policy can make a huge difference, convincing travellers to choose your property over another. On Expedia Group’s sites, your property will display ‘Fully Refundable’ or ‘Free Cancellation’ in travellers’ search results. This will give you more visibility and prominence over your competitors.

Furthermore, by offering a refundable rate you will convince travellers to book with more confidence and peace of mind should their plans change. In a recent survey, travellers told us that when they book, their first priority is to be able to cancel and receive a full refund if their plans change.* We recommend offering a 100 per cent refund for cancellations made close to the arrival date (2 days or less), to give travellers maximum flexibility.**
